"Lost in the Snow" is a large percussion ensemble piece that I wrote toward the end of 2021. The sounds and images contained in the piece are meant to capture Antarctica and being alone among the icy landscape. It exists in 3 sections: a moderately-paced first section, a fast section in 3, and a final section. Instruments utilized in the piece include a bass guitar, a drum set, and a synthesizer, which are important to give this piece an electric feel. The use of samples are also important, which aid in immersing the audience into the experience that I created.
