Bombastic - high sounding but with little meaning. This is the perfect description of this piece; there is no message to this piece, no symbolism, no theme, just a powerful and slightly jazzy brass piece inspired by electro house music and gritty analog synths.

"Bombastic" is a moderately difficult piece for brass quintet and drum set. The idea for the main melody and prominent playing techniques used throughout came to me from listening to old-school electro house and dubstep. I knew that a brass quintet would be the perfect instrumentation to contain such music, and that "Bombastic" would be a perfect name for it.

Over the length of the piece, several different moods and beats are presented to the audience, and it's up to the performers to work together seamlessly to convey them. The difficulty is sure to challenge high school students and entertain college students, and this piece in performance is sure to bring a unique and thrilling experience never before heard.
